I am 25 year old graduate from the University of Memphis where I majored in Elementary and Special Education. In 2010 I graduated from Arlington High School. I am a native Memphian, lived in Arlington for nine years, and currently reside in Bartlett. I have 3 siblings; an older brother, Jay, a younger brother, Josh, and a younger sister, Lindsey. I am a pet lover and have three Siberian Huskies named Marleigh, Juleigh, and Daisy. I love what I do and I would not trade it for the world.
My philosophy of education: I believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn and is entitled to a safe and fun learning experience. As an educator I will strive to create a safe and fun learning environment while still meeting the requirements of the state of Tennessee. Three elements I find beneficial in my classroom are, (1) The teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for all things and all people.
